Koritnica river valley is known as the valley of a hundred waterfalls.
Fratarca stream, which flows into the river Koritnica in Log pod Mangartom, is one of the most stunning canyons in the western part of The Triglav National Park. The various waterfalls there come in all shapes and sizes. On a sunny day, the water adopts a gorgeous turquoise colour.
For those who already have some experience with canyoning and desire the adrenaline and beauty that the Soča valley offers, Fratarca is the perfect choice.
The walking time to the entry point is between 25 and 40 minutes. You will not be disappointed by one of nature’s creations – the crystal clear Fratarca stream. Together, we will discover various other waterfalls and wonderful green pools in which you will be able to cool off in hot summer days. Walking down the stream, sliding on slippery slides and abseiling along large waterfalls are just a few activities that will not disappoint you. If by any chance the stream-bed doesn’t impress you, then the waterfall Parabola surely will, as it is a mighty 48 metres high, perfect for abseiling and is located in the lower part of the streambed.
